Best variety for outdoor grows

I'm looking to set up some "outdoor" grows this year and I'm trying to find the most productive strain for this. "First girl" seems like a good one as it flowers earlier and is hardy with good resistance. Also been looking at "Purple power/Hollands hope" Any info from those in the know is greatly appreciated. Also, would starting veg growth indoors under lights help speed up the process?

Its just hear say but I heard purple power sucked very bad

Yeah Purple when grown outdoors is not really potent

Not all purps are the same, I've had potent purps, I was just saying that Purple Power is crap or supposidly, so I would steer clear of anything crossed with it. there are some potent purps available now, but most are in the US like GDP but the Nirvana purps are all potent.
