at home in the uk mainly bud because as most of you know on the whole the hash in the uk is the dreaded 'soapbar' something I have personally avoided for nearly 5 years now, and I am proud to say I get stoned every day

when I do get some hash here though it is decent grade polm e.g. some nice marroc or recently lebanese has being making a comeback.

when I am in holland I go nuts for the different types of hashes on sale and I love the ice hashes

I also make my own bubblehash as I have the offical 7 bag bubble kit

I have in the past made multi-strain bubble hash e.g. one time I made hash from equal ammount of trim from 5 different strains which were jack herer, white widow, super skunk, orange bud and bubblegum

the taste was amazing and so was the range of colour in the final product.

the high was absolutely mind blowing.

I have also tried honey oil extracted using butane and although the high was much more potent than bubble hash the coughing induced from a bong was more painful, so less tasty and more harsh I found than ice or bubble hash (used to own 2 bag icolator kit before the bubble bags so experience in making original dutch produce as well as improved canadian produce).

I also have a small pollinator as well for making skuff which is also nice and fun when I dont have as much trim to experiment with.

anyway I find it pays to vary as getting to used to one type of purer extracted produce ruins the effects when you go back to smoking the bud.

If you evap the oil thoroughly and let it age a bit it becomes smother. Also if you vape it or smoke it through water (bong) it's smother.

You will allways get better taste from hash, even more if it's kiff (dry skuff) because the extraction leaves behind most of the aromatic compounds. Water hash washes away a bit of the flavor too but is more aromatic than oil.

By the way, I'm loving jelly. A bit of oil in any hash brings out the aroma and taste of the hash. Don't know why but it does.

you guys havent made oil from buds have you? Hash Oil will never be harsh, you just have to hit it very lightly, your not smoking plant material here your evaporating oil and inhailing it. I don't like to smoke it with people who hit it like it's weed because it melts into the bottom of my pipe, I have never had a harsh hit of oil, never. I also think oil is the tastiest and strongest canna-product I have ever ingested and real Jelly Hash being second. I will say to those of you who have had the quanity of weed like myself to experiment with, that you will probably agree with the above.

The difference in butane extracted Trash Oil and good butane extracted Hash Oil is clearly the color and ammount of THC, in trash oil the color will be brown to black(more chlorophyll). When made from good bud then it is special this oil will put you on the moon, I made about three to four grams of oil when I used one ounce of fine buds, it came out looking like gold I emptied out five cans of butane in this process one after the other, it is important to do it simultaneously to ensure an even taste and color. Also you can "vapo" this oil in a freebase/meth pipe to conserve it you can but these at gas stations. If you have tried oil but not in one of these pipes, buy one next time and your oil smoking and money will go much further. Bud oil is aromatic, just like a pine tree

never made any soapbar myself

nut apparantly you take around 200G of dried powdered shade leaf and then mix with ground coffee, henna etc. and also mix with turpentine and other nasty things and then try and stick it together in a block shaped like a bar of soap.

apparantly there is supposedly about 20G of real polm mixed in but judging by the horrible smell given off by some samples of soapbar these days I doubt if there is even this little ammount of real polm in a bar of 'soap'.

Honey oil does gets harsh if poorly evaporated and purged or if made with bad quality butane. If it's done properly it comes out very smooth. About the piney aroma, that is strain dependent, some strains give more aromatic oil than others. My oil usually isn't very aromatic as I have always made it with not so pungent strains. When I have the oportunity to flower some of my Power Plant clones I'll give it a try. I bet that PP oil will still carry some of its aroma.

Actually this one in the pics was made with trim and it came out very good. It was ChronicXs.a.g.e. trim btw.

the colour on that looks amazing.

the oil I tried looked like mustard (colemans english mustard colour it was very yellow.

don't get me wrong the high was the most amazing I have ever experienced from any cannabis extract but it seemed the smoke was very hot and harsh, like you said though it might have been the way it was lit etc.

I definately want to make my own some day and also mix with my bubblehash to make jelly.

what did you use for the filter/gauze end of your extraction pipe ???

thinking of building my own rather than spending money on something similar but plastic ??

DONT USE METAL especially STAINLESS STEEL(beer from glass bottles taste better, same with hash oil) Obviously you cant use glass but dont use metal

I use PVC pipe with two endcaps from a hardware store, you have to mix and match

DOZ3r your oil is red because you use metal, I promise it will come out looking like "Colemans English Mustard" if you use enough bud not shake, it also could be red because you let it set too long on the scrape tray, havent seen that color before

It cost me around five dollars US to make my extractor

I like to use Mexican schwag weed, skunk or flowery scented weed oil doesnt have the pine tree taset like the Mexican oil. The people who buy Mexican brick weed know about the pine taste.

Well, I've had the same warnings about using PVC. Don't know wich ones to believe anymore. Cupper is said to be good too but oxidizes easily witch is bad. I have seen a glass extractor tube, a user from OG (rip) used one made with very thick glass tube (that user was ThameThaTane).

I've allways had good results with this tube. The color varies. Some strains give more ambar oil others give it more yellow. Also the more you heat the oil the darker it gets, ambient temperature evaped oil is usually lighter in color.

What you see in the pic is stainless steel mesh. On the inside I put a circle of filter paper (you can use coffee filter).
