We have been taking all steps to go to court right after Easter weekend, we have spoken to police and a Lawyer.
Not such a good friday for coffeeshops in Haarlem, but down is not out.

i regularly visit NL, from Friesland till Limburg, many cities, and Haarlem seemed to be the friendliest city for stoners and growers... But now ..looks like in Rotterdam for example, where crazy burgomeister declared war on cannabis...

I will be staying in Haarlem in April and plan on spending most of my week there.

Update: Both Regine and Key West have been closed during the raids they had on Friday.
They are both back open, they had fair warning from our closure, so things were found OK there.

De politie heeft vrijdag rond 22 uur vijf mannen aangehouden bij een inval in een woning boven coffeeshop De Poort aan het Verlaat in Enkhuizen. Er werden tientallen kilo's weed en hasj aangetroffen en ook een grote hoeveelheid geld.




De politie deed de inval omdat ze informatie had dat er in de woning boven de shop grote hoeveelheden drugs aanwezig zouden zijn. Dat bleek juist. Op het moment van de inval waren vijf mannen in het pand aanwezig, variërend in leeftijd van 22 tot 60 jaar, afkomstig uit Amsterdam en Enkhuizen. Ze werden aangehouden en voor verhoor meegenomen naar het politiebureau in Hoorn. Vier mannen zijn inmiddels in vrijheid gesteld. Een 46-jarige man met de Britse nationaliteit blijft vastzitten voor deze zaak.

De coffeeshop is afgelopen weekeinde gesloten geweest. Maandag neemt het gemeentebestuur van Enkhuizen een besluit over welke gevolgen de drugsvondst heeft voor De Poort.

I arrived to stay at sativa (15 mins after the police left apparently) to find it all locked up. I was a bit worried it was getting late, about 6pm on my first ever night in Haarlem.

Luckily a few people came along and told me what happened and helped me find my way to Indica.

Thanks to the guys in Indica who put me up for that first night in an empty appartment saving me from a bit of a nightmare.

I enjoyed my visit to Haarlem, I mostly hung out in Indica smoking some bongs and playing some pool (trying to get to a grip on the wierd dutch rules

why do they bother wasting time and money in busting businesses that are obviously generating a lot of income through taxes being paid etc.
